An enthusiastic Diaspora Obidient has gone all the way to Mount Kilimanjaro to hoist the flag of the Labour Party (LP) on which platform Peter Obi is running for President, enthusing it is the best place to herald the anticipated new dawn in Nigeria.
The Obidient, who identified himself simply as OGersh on Twitter, reached Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro in Tanzania after 10 and a half hours climbing, hiking, and trekking.
He announced on his Twitter handle Africa’s highest mountain is the best place to announce what is about to be the birth of a new Nigeria.
“On Fri, 20/10/2022 after 10½ hrs of climbing, hiking and trekking, I made it to the Uhuru Peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, 5,895m above sea level.
“There is no better place to announce the coming of a New Nigeria than the rooftop of Africa,” he said, per reporting by The Nation.

Obidients laugh off Obaseki’s wishful thinking, double down on their support for Obi Presidency Project
Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki on Monday stirred greater fervour in Obidients to root for Obi by saying supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) will run out of fuel in trying to power him across the finishing line.
“People who say they are Obidients, of course, they will be but they will run out of steam. We know how to manage elections, how many people have been able to do what we are doing?
“They can’t even form their campaign council not to talk about having a timetable for election, you get it,” Obaseki said at the inauguration of the Edo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council in Benin City on Monday.
Obi’s supporters reacted on Twitter by reinvigorating their support for him, telling Obaseki to watch out, as collated below:

“They thought we are tired. If only they know how prepared we are. People are busy doing underground work for PO. From December, you are going to see men spring out from all angles to the needful. PO is coming …”
@TheCuriousMind1
“Out of steam with just three months to the election? As long as there’s hunger, poverty and insecurity, my brother Obaseki, steam will be increasing even more. So think well.”
@Albazzini
“Gov Obaseki knows that his household would vote for Peter Obi. His cabinet and Edolites are Obidient.
“He should stop deceiving Atiku. 2023 is around the corner and no amount of running down would stop the movement. Nigerians would #VoteWisely.”
@Princes51013171
“It’s like this man has been lashed for having stylishly supported Obidient in the past? But regardless, our labour will never be in vain.
“It’s you, the entire PDP and APC that your efforts will be in vain. Obi shall triumph and be declared a winner come 2023 God willing!”
