In a statement, D1 revealed how he succumbed to the wishes of the people of his Odogbolu constituency to represent them at the Ogun State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). With the blessing of former boss, Raymond Dokpesi of Daar Communications, he said.

“The invitation is to service, and I am quite humbled to bring back home the entire knowledge I have garnered around the world, to change and lead. To whom much is given, much is equally expected, and because my root is here, I am ready to sacrifice my all for service,” he said.

Similarly, singer and Nollywood actor, Gift Eke, has also joined the league. The artiste popularly known as Muma Gee, who is married to Prince Eke, is contesting the House of Representatives seat for Abua/Odua and Ahoada East Local Government Areas of Rivers State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
