Nigerian comic actress, Eniola Badmus congratulated her friend and colleague, Funke Akindele, after The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) invited her to join the 2022 membership of Oscar organisers.
Funke Akindele who has kept a low profile spoke for the first time after her estranged husband, JJC Skillz announced their separation after 6 years of marriage.
The mother of two, took to her Instagram page on Friday, July 1, to share the news of her Academy invitation.
According to the 45-year-old movie producer, her block-bursting movies, ‘Omo Ghetto the saga’ and ‘Jenifa’ got her the prestigious position.
After sharing the good news, congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the talented thespian.
One of such eulogies came from fellow Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, who took to her verified Instagram page to felicitate with her friend.
Congratulating her, she wrote, “Oscar na your mate? Congratulations gurl”.
Funke Akindele took to the comment section of the post, to acknowledge the gesture from her.
