FA confirmed that Sterling would return to England’s World Cup base on Friday, ahead of the France clash this weekend

The English FA have taken a decision on forward Raheem Sterling returning to the England squad ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup Quaker final match after his house was burgled.
Sterling left England’s World Cup squad in Qatar on Sunday and returned to London following the terrifying ordeal. As a result, the 27-year-old missed England’s 3-0 World Cup round of 16 win against Senegal.
The Chelsea star’s home was raided by armed invaders last Saturday while his partner and young children were in the house.

England manager, Gareth Southgate as at the time of his departure said It was not yet clear whether he will return for Saturday’s match against France and added that he and everyone else would have to “wait and see” regarding his availability.
However, in a statement on Thursday, the FA confirmed that Sterling would return to England’s World Cup base in Qatar on Friday ahead of the France clash this weekend.
“The Chelsea forward temporarily left to attend to a family matter but is now expected to rejoin the squad in Al Wakrah on Friday (9 December) ahead of the quarter-final with France,” the statement read.
