Less than three hours after angry protesters set ablaze Bola Tinubu’s Television Continental (TVC) station, another set of angry youths have reportedly attacked Channels TV, forcing the station to go offline.
The attack may have been provoked by the broadcast of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who used the station to deny any killings in Lekki on Tuesday night.
Contrary to the Governor’s claim that nobody was killed at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday night, the social media is inundated with witnesses at the scene and a livestream on Instagram showing people being killed after soldiers opened fire on the protesters as they were singing the national anthem.
A Channels TV reporter was also attacked at the premises of TVC, when he was reporting that gunshots were being fired at protesters.
