Emir of Ilorin CSO dies

According to the Emir, the commitment of his CSO helped him rise through the rank and file of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has lost his Chief Security Officer (CSO), ASP Adebayo Olowoyo.

The CSO died in the early hours of Sunday in Ilorin.

The monarch expressed sadness over the incident in a condolence message issued by his Spokesman, AbdulAzeez Arowona.

The Emir said that his CSO rose through the rank and file of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to become a decorated police officer due to his commitment and dedication to work.

Sulu-Gambari expressed shock over the unfortunate incident. He said, “ASP Olowoyo was a trusted police officer who worked assiduously as my personal security aide for many years.

“He was a diligent, committed and dependable security aide who gave his best by taking absolute charge of the security architecture of the entire palace. We shall surely miss his exit.”

The traditional ruler prayed that Almighty Allah should comfort the bereaved family. He also commiserated with the deceased’s wife and children, as well as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba.

The Emir also condoled the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Paul Odama, colleagues and associates of the departed CSO over the irreversible and sad occurrence.

The statement did not say if the Emir’s CSO has been buried.
