The president of Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, has proclaimed a one-day prayer and fasting for the destiny of Nigeria on the forthcoming general election.

He urged all of his members, both at home and abroad, to engage intensively in praying for Nigeria using the Intercessory prayer guide for the rescue of Nigeria.

He disclosed to the congregation that he was prompted by the Holy Spirit to declare a day fast for the destiny of Nigeria.

He said: “God came down today and said that we have to stand for the destiny of Nigeria. So by tomorrow we will be waiting on the Lord in a fast and come together by 6 pm for the final prayers as usual. It will be 2 hours of prayers.

“All Winners should engage intensively using their Intercessory prayer guide for the Rescue of the soul of Nigeria.”

He said: “As we pray, every agent of the devil hiding anywhere turning this nation to a swim of blood God will flush them out.

“Anybody who has sense will know that Nigeria is not spiritually free. Nigeria has been held down by the gods of the land but we will crush them out.

“We are wrestling against principalities and powers, against the gods of this land according to Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12. But the good news is that we are sure of victory.”

He continued: “This is a very sensitive week. No land is healed without prayers according to 2 Chronicle chapter 7 verse 4 and as we pray God will heal this land from every form of political uncertainties and do a new thing this time.

“Only the right people will be elected.

“we are praying that God grant us peace always by all means and oversee the process by himself according to His word taking  in  2Thesselonian chapter 3 verse 16.”
