In Ikorodu area where The Niche monitored, election conduct was relatively peaceful and calm but there was voter apathy.

Unlike during the Presidential election where the voters list for Alimosho Local Government Area, was brought to Igbogbo in Ikorodu which delayed the exercise the voting started on time.

At the polling booth number 008, Igbogbo (11), the Presiding Officer, John Amoto Samuel, a Youth Corper informed our correspondent that there was no cause for alarm as voting was peaceful as there was no security challenge.

“We started a little time after 8.00am. The conduct has been peaceful, no violence of any sort. And I can say the voters are satisfied with the conduct although turnout has been low.

Also at the polling unit 006, Igbogbo (11), the Presiding officer, Olaleye Dare said the conduct has been peaceful and that there was maximum cooperation from all voters and the agents on the ground.

In polling unit 007, Igbogbo (11) the Presiding officer, Mr Aturase said there was slight delay but that it never affected the smooth voting process.
