Schools in Kaduna State will resume on Sunday, September 12, after more than two months of closure following series of attacks by bandits.
The state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who ordered the school closure to allow security agencies to flush out bandits from their hiding, has now asked schools in the state to re-open.
The state’s Commissioner of Education, Dr Shehu Muhammad announced the reopening while participating in a virtual workshop organised by the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria.
Muhammad who revealed that the state has worked out strategies towards ensuring the completion of the third term through online platforms said schools will resume the first term for the 2021/2022 academic calendar in phases at the set date.
