Leicester City and Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has attributed the improvement in the performance of the Super Eagles to the coaching style of the new gaffer, Austin Eguavoen.

The 28-year-old made this known while speaking with the press ahead of the day’s match against Tunisia, where he said the Eagles became a better team because Eguavoen ” kept things simple”.

The defensive midfielder noted that the current team is still the same left behind by Rohr but the difference is the style adopted by the new manager.

He went on to assure Nigerians that the Super Eagles will not underrate the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia when they clash later today.

Ndidi said, “We are here to compete and win games. There is no difference between this game and the other games we have played here.

“It’s going to be the same approach and mentality. We will keep going.

It’s the same team, but with a different philosophy. Our current manager makes things simple for us.

“The coach gives us the push and freedom to express ourselves. That’s the difference between 2019 and now.”
