Former Super Eagles coach and technical director, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Augustine Eguaveon has offered tips on how to beat Italy to Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso.
The Nigerian lads will take on the Gil Azzurrini of Italy in their second group game at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Mendoza, Argentina on Wednesday.
Italy edged their first game against the pre-tournament favourites, Brazil 3-2, while the Flying Eagles came from behind to defeat a determined Dominican Republic 2-1 in their first match.

The Italians were in devastating form in the first half of the encounter scoring thrice. Brazil, however, rallied back to score twice after the break, before the Europeans scored the winning goal.
Eguaveon, a former Super Eagles defender, speaking on the encounter between Nigeria and Italy noted that the Italians are a good side.
He also advised Bosso to devise a winning plan to secure victory against the Europeans, having watched the match between Brazil and Italy.
“The Italians are a good side but nothing is given in football until a match is played and ends. It is about the set-up, about the structure of your team and how much you bring to bear what you have noticed about the other team,” Eguavoen told thenff.com.
“I’m happy our coaches saw the Italians play the Brazilians and it is now left for us all to put our heads together and devise a winning plan.”
A draw would be enough for the Flying Eagles to secure their place in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, Brazill and the Dominican Republic will be looking for their first point of the tournament when they clash in the other group game.
