Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, appeared before Justice Sedoton Ogunsanya of the Ikeja High Court in Lagos against Nadabo Energy and its chairman, Abubakar Peters.
Bawa, who featured as a prosecution witness in the alleged N1.4 billion oil subsidy fraud case, was the investigator who handled the case while as an operative of the anti-graft agency.
The EFCC is prosecuting Nadabo Energy and its chairman, Abubakar Peters, for allegedly obtaining N1.4 billion from the Federal Government as an oil subsidy, using forged documents and also inflating the quantity of petrol purportedly supplied to the Federal Government by 14,000 metric tonnes.
