Why EFCC arrested ex-Imo gov, Achike Udenwa

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Tuesday, arrested a former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, for allegedly receiving N350m from the Director of Finance, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Senator Nenadi Usman. Udenwa, who was quizzed for several hours by the EFCC was however, released later, after promising to cooperate fully with the anti-graft agency, said a source who pleaded not to be mentioned. The money was said to have emanated from the account of the Central Bank of Nigeria. About N4bn was deposited into the account of Usman, who then disbursed the money to several politicians in the build-up to the 2015 presidential elections.
