With relief that it has already qualified for the Final Eight Play-offs, officials of Dodan Warriors Basketball Club of Lagos say the team will review its regular season performance with a view to doing better in the play-offs.
“We will go back to the drawing board to re-strategise for the Final Eight Play-off, with a view to improving on our performance.
“Our biggest threats are likely to come from the teams in the Savannah Conference, as we know and are used to our rivals in the Atlantic Conference.
“But even with that, we will not want to take chances as we will also try to better our third place record achieved at the end of last season.
“It is not going to be easy, but as ‘Warriors’, we are equal to the task. We want to assure our fans not to lose hope,” said Dodan Warriors scribe, Joseph Ebere Apu.
Apu added that all hands would be on deck from the proprietor of the club, Col. Sam Ahmedu, to other officials, to ensure that the team ends the season on a good note.
According to the officials of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), in conjunction with the sponsors, Multichoice Nigeria, the first four teams in both the Atlantic and Savannah conferences qualified for the Final Eight Play-offs.
As it is at the end of the regular season, Islanders Basketball Club of Lagos leads three others namely: Dodan Warriors of Lagos, Union Bank also of Lagos and Oluyole Warriors Basketball Club of Ibadan from the Atlantic Conference to the Final Eight Play-offs.
