Dowen College has responded to the shutdown order of the school by Lagos State Government by moving classes online.
The Lagos State Government has shutdown Dowen College indefinitely following the death of a 12-year-old boy, Sylvestre Oromoni Jnr, allegedly beaten to death by his fellow students.
The death of the little boy sparks outrage as Nigerians on social media said the school should be closed for the safety of the other children in the school.
The school immediately complied with the Lagos State Government directive. It also notified parents that they will move classes online for their learners to continue their studies.

Dowen College told distraught parents via an email that pending the decision of the State government, they will continue the academic session online.
The Lagos State Government ordered that the school be closed indefinitely over safety concerns.
The state government said the school will remain closed pending the outcome of the investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jr.
The parents of the boy alleged that he was brutalized by his own school colleagues because he refused to join a cult group in the school.
Dowen had initially claimed that the boy sustained injuries while playing football, a story that is now haunting them because the bruises found on the body of the lad do not match a fall on a football pitch.
The school had initially asked students to stay at home for two days, adding that the school would resume next week for exams following the negative commentary against it.
This led to outrage as Nigerians asked why the school carries on with exams when a student died due to an incident that allegedly happened in the school.
After the Lagos government closure of the school, Dowen College sent another message to parents for students to remain at home while classes continue online.
