Big Brother Naija 5 ‘Lockdown’ edition’s first runner-up, Dorathy Bachor, has opened up on why season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, became the first female winner on the reality show.

Dorothy shared her opinion on fellow reality star’s victory a few years ago, during a discussion on ‘Black Box’ anchored by the host of the BBNaija show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

The show, which featured other ex- female housemates such as Tacha Akide, Mercy Eke, Bisola Aiyeola CeeCee, and a few others, saw the former contestants debate on why a female contestant eventually won among other things.

Bisola Aiyeola in her submission on why Mercy Eke won stated she was loved by all, and viewers wanted a female winner that year at all cost after previous editions were dominated by male contestants.

Dorathy Bachor, however, disagreed with her, stating that Mercy only won because she faced housemates that were weak and asserted she never faced a strong contender during the edition.

She also contended that the first runner-up of season 4, Mike Edwards, only lasted that long because he was perceived as a married man who was faithful to his wife.
