The Social Democratic Party  (SDP) candidate for Arochukwu state constituency, Hon Kalu Kalu Ulu, has asked Nigerians particularly those in his constituency not to sell their votes.

He also urged them to vote for candidates with track records and concern for the welfare of the people.

Besides, he appealed to those that are yet to collect their PVCs to do so without delay, saying that it was the only weapon they have to ensure that those with capacity, competence and credibility were voted into various offices to provide effective leadership.

Ulu was speaking at a campaign in Ututu, where there was a massive turn-out of voters that promised him their votes.

He said the time has come for the voters to ensure that their votes would count by ensuring that they monitor the election to ensure there would be no rigging.

“I am aware that some of the politicians are inducing the voters to sale their votes. Please, do not sale your vote. Your vote is your power to make the change that we need. You must ensure you monitor your votes also after voting.

“Those among you that are yet to collect their PVCs should do so without further delay. Vote for SDP at all levels. Our governorship candidate is a woman but I can tell you, she can dwarf the men when it comes to competence.

“The country, just like our state, is heading into a precipice; so we need to salvage the situation with our votes, so as to change the probability of action for the good of the people”.

The Niche gathered that Ulu enjoys tremendous support from his consituency.

Most people who spoke with The Niche confirmed that he was the candidate to beat, the reason being that he was known to have empowered a great number as well as employment provisions when he was a commissioner in the local council.
