Another renowned technocrat, Adekunle Disu, has joined the array of aspirants for the Lagos state governorship ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he flagged-off his campaign on Tuesday.
Disu in a Nine-point issues of his development agenda listed education/vocational training, energy development, healthcare delivery, infrastructure development, agriculture and food security, environmental management, employment and job creation, security law and order and integrated transport system as his areas of priority.
The venue, MPA Ground Magodo, witnessed large supporters in attendance from different local governments of the state as party members, friends and well-wishers from all walks of life all filed out to show serious backing for Disu.
He promised to elevate governance if voted into office, just as he assured he would ensure that policies and programmes that would alleviate poverty amongst the people and provide, conducive environment for job creation and wealth generation.
Disu said he would provide the needed change for the people and ensure that he would grow the state economy to be one of the top 5 in Africa within a 10 year period.
The politician said he would‘’ deploy the best human resources in delivery first class service in all areas of governance, provide a business friendly environment that will attract foreign and local private, investments by using the best available technology in operating government business’’.
Disu promised that Lagos under his leadership would be a safe and secured environment with efficient and accountable services to its citizens, adding that Lagos state of his vision would be driven by public-private sector collaboration with the objective of growing the economy to be one of the top five in Africa’’.
He urged Lagosians to vote for him as he promised to restore confidence in governance, saying that his covenant with Lagosians would be worth-enjoying by all.
