Nigeria’S President Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to Nigerians especially the youths to discontinue the #EndSARS protest.
The president made the appeal in his address to the nation on Thursday October 22, 2020.
Buhari, who was making his maiden address since October 12, 2020, when the #EndSARS protest started, acknowledged meeting with security chiefs on the issue recently.
He lamented the high level destruction of lives and property caused by the protest, which he said was being sponsored by enemies of his government.
While consoling the families of police officers and others, who died in the process, Buhari also identified with the Oba of Lagos, whom he said lost some of his traditional item to the crisis.
He further disclosed that the government was making effort on Police Reform as requested by the youthful protesters, assuring the international community that the nation was not going to disintegrate.
