Destini returns from Ghana smoking hot for Nigerian music

Tokunbo Ogungbadero, popularly called Destini (Omo Ogungbadero), may have all the features a lady’s man, but he does not seem to have time for women at the moment, since he is chasing his music career.

This might have informed his decision to return to Nigeria from Ghana of over a decade.

“I took the decision (to return to Nigeria) because this is where my music would be better appreciated due to the language (Yoruba) I use in singing. The music industry here (Nigeria) is very robust and wide; it can accommodate everybody,” he said.

Aside that, he said he is a Nigerian who is free to come and go anytime. He explained that he has had a successful stay in Ghana, where he has a small business he has been doing alongside his business that is growing.

“This is the best time to come home for my people to have a taste of what I have been giving to people in Ghana since 2008,” the soft-spoken young man said after his performance at celebrity hangout, O’jez Restaurant, inside National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, last Sunday, where he wowed the crowd.

Destini, who has 15 songs with videos already shot, describes his kind of music as “highlife mixed with some kind of African pop dance tune”.
