Popular Stand-up comedian, Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, better known as Destalker, has accused his colleagues of jealousy.
He made this known recently while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Shopsydoo.
According to him, fellow comedian, Funny Bone, said he would not last in the comedy industry, predicting that he would fade away in just six months.

Speaking during the interview, Destalker said: “After I won my first Best Comedian of the Year award, my colleagues started getting jealous of me. Funny Bone said, ‘What does he feel like? Let’s give him 6 months.’ He didn’t know I was sitting close to him when he said it loud.
“He said, ‘Abeg! Six months he will go down.’ Listen, you cannot give time for what God has timed. Funny Bone continued, ‘Let’s give him time, highest one year. No be so Akpororo do? Where is Akpororo today?’
“I said, ‘Okay, let’s see if it’s God’s time or man’s time.’ I won the same award for four consecutive years.”
Prior to this, Destalker had in 2023 alleged that Basketmouth was working against his growth during an episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ Podcast co-hosted by actor, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu.
While addressing the issue, he said; “How can I win best comedian for five years, I do show, no sponsor?
“I wrote proposals, there are companies that agreed to come in, but they would say, ‘Okay, I will talk to some of your senior colleagues.’ That is my problem.”
He went on to add: “Somebody later called me one day and asked, ‘What did you have with Basketmouth?’ I said nothing and he said go and beg him.”
