Dele Momodu also accused the judges of misinterpreting Nigeria’s Constitution

Publisher, ex-presidential candidate and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has added his voice to the ongoing debate on the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Momodu, who supported the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential election, slammed the judges after delivering their judgement and accused them of misinterpreting the nation’s Constitution.
His comment comes after the tribunal ruled on Wednesday that incumbent president, Bola Tinubu proved beyond all reasonable doubts that he won the 2023 polls.
Prior to this, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the PD, had approached the Tribunal, challenging the declaration of Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

Reacting to the judgment on his X page, Dele Momodu wrote: “I watched in utter amazement and wonderment how our Constitution was brazenly and deliberately turned upside down by those who lack a sense of history and care less about the verdict of history.
“What all men and women of good conscience should have for them is pity and not anger… NIGERIA SHALL BE FREE…,”
Meanwhile, having failed to prove their cases at the Tribunal, Obi and Atiku, through their representatives, have announced that they will be approaching the Supreme Court to reclaim their mandates.
