Deji Adeyanju slams Wike, says FCT Minister trying to govern Abuja, Rivers at the same time

Deji Adeyanju also said if Wike is the current River State Governor, he would have demolished Fubara’s houses and  prevented him from entering the state

Popular human rights activist and social media influencer, Deji Adeyanju has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, is trying to govern the nation’s capital, Abuja and Rivers State at the same time.

He made this known during a recent chat with DAILY POST, where he accused Wike of dishing out what he will never tolerate from anyone to the current Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

Wike and Fubara have been fighting for the control of the state’s political structure and the face-off culminated into the burning of the House of Assembly complex and its subsequent demolition.

Following the lingering feud, some commissioners loyal to Wike resigned from the state executive council, while 24 members of the House of Assembly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, President Bola Tinubu eventually intervened in the rift and compelled both parties to sign a peace pact.

Amid the rift with Fubara, kidnapping and insecurity have been on the rise within the federal capital city, as several people have either been abducted or killed by bandits.

Speaking on the development, Deji Adeyanju chastised the FCT Minister, saying he is distracted.

He said: “Distracted Wike want to govern Abuja & Rivers at the same time.

“He continues to dish out to Sim Fubara that he will not tolerate from anyone as governor.

“If the reverse was the case, Wike would have demolished Sim Fubara’s houses & prevented him from entering the state.”
