Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice, could be back for the North London outfit’s Premier League fixture away to  Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Three Lions midfielder was withdrawn after feeling discomfort in his back during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw against local rivals, Tottenham on Sunday and underwent tests on Monday.

He was replaced after being forced off at half-time by Jorginho, who was culpable for the second goal conceded by Arsenal during the encounter.

However, after scans revealed the issue with Declan Rice is not a major one, he is in line to feature in the club’s next PL game at the weekend.

Despite the good news, he is not expected to play in the Carabao Cup game at Brentford on Wednesday, as he still feels some discomfort.

Arsenal’s medics are expected to continue monitoring the England international as well as Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli who both missed the draw against Tottenham due to various injuries.

Rice is expected to be fully fit for Arsenal’s match against title rivals Manchester City on Sunday, October 8.

Trossard and Martinelli are also expected to return from hamstring injuries in time to face Pep Guardiola’s side.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey is making good progress from a groin injury amid hope he is closing in on a return sooner than expected.
