Rayssa de Freitas, a law student and one of the three women who accused Manchester United forward, Antony of assault and violent behaviour towards them has dropped the charges.

The case, which made headlines when it broke is currently being investigated by police in Sao Paulo in Brazil and Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Antony had earlier been accused of assaulting his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin on four occasions.

In a separate case, a 33-year-old banker, Ingrid Lana, also alleged that Antony was aggressive towards her in October 2022.

In Lana’s words, the action of the Brazil international could have resulted in her death.

However, according to the UK Telegraph, a third case, which involved an incident in a car in May 2022, has been withdrawn at the request of the alleged victim.

De Freitas had claimed that she needed hospital treatment following the incident in May of last year when she was attacked by Antony and Mallu Ohana – the ex-wife of Brazil player Dudu – in Antony’s Land Rover after the three left a Sao Paulo nightclub.

However, the report – made to Sao Paulo Civil Police – has since been retracted in full. It is thought both women in the car had accused the other of sexual assault.

Antony, whose future at Old Trafford hangs in the balance, denied any wrongdoing in all three cases and has not been arrested or charged.
