Chelsea lost narrowly to Premier League leaders, Man City at the Etihad Stadium after The Blues could not manage a single shot throughout the first half of the crucial encounter.
De Bruyne produced a moment of class to tighten Man City’s grip on the Premier League title race with victory over their nearest rival.
The Belgian midfielder broke the deadlock in a tight game in the 70th minute with a superb curling drive past keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to extend City’s lead at the top of the table to an imposing 13 points.

Chelsea did not muster a single shot off or on target for the entire first half and had to make changes in the second half to make an impact in the final third.
The only notable chance for the visitors however came when Ederson saved Lukaku’s effort, which was Chelsea’s first shot on target. But De Bruyne made the difference with his goal in the second half.
