Nigerian singer and record label owner, David Adeleke popularly known by his stage name Davido has revealed how he discovered and signed two young upcoming artistes, Daniella Daniel better known as Morravey and Olamilekan Emeka Taiwo aka Logos Olori.

In a recent interview on Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope Olajide, Davido said he became interested in signing Morravey after he noticed her on social media.

According to him, after listening to her cover of a Fireboy song on Instagram, he was drawn to her “unique voice” and could not help but comb through several Instagram comments on her page before sending her a DM.

“The beautiful Morravey with a voice that nobody has. I was home one day on my phone watching Instagram reels,” he said.

“I saw her singing a cover of Fireboy’s song. Her voice was so amazing and I was like who is this girl because she wasn’t tagged on the post?

“I had to go into the comments and scrolled through over 400 comments to look for her name. I finally got her page and sent her a DM.” Davido added.

Unlike Morravey, however, the “Electricity” crooner met Logos Olori through Kareem Olasunkanmi Temitayo, a.k.a Magicsticks one of the producers he worked with, while producing his latest album, “Timeless” and singer, Asake.

Davido said: “He wrote the hook on ‘Available’. I met him through Magic Sticks and Asake.

“He will always come to the studio every time Magic comes. So on the last day of recording, I asked him how far and he has no platform and I told him to come with me.”
