Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has pledged to reward the honesty displayed by a staff of a Lagos hotel.
TheNiche had reported that a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites located on Victoria Island in Lagos State, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, found and returned the sum of $70,000 misplaced by a customer.
Her gesture later attracted a lot of commendations from fellow Nigerians who took to various social media platforms to celebrate her and suggested that she should be adequately compensated.

Obi recommends national honour for Eko hotel staff, Mary, after returning missing $70,000
One of the prominent Nigerians who was impressed by Mary’s action is the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the February 25 general election, Peter Obi, who took to his Twitter handle on Saturday to say she deserves national honour and recognition.
Speaking on the issue, Obi tweeted: “It is heartwarming and reassuring that despite the hardship in the country and the prevailing moral decadence in society, a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, was reported to have returned a misplaced sum of $70,000 to a customer of the hotel in Lagos.”
He went on to add: “These are the people who deserve to be given national honours and awards and recognition”
A day after the LP flagbearer’s comment, Afrobeat superstar, Davido also took to his social media page, urging Nigerians to help him locate the last and pledged a cash reward for her.
Taking to his Twitter handle the ‘Electricity’ crooner wrote: “Find her for me … I donate $10k”.
