Davido while expressing regrets over his chosen career, affirmed that footballers are living a more luxurious lifestyle

Ace Nigerian Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has had a second thought about his career, saying it seems he chose the wrong path.
The ‘Electricity’ crooner made the comment in a now viral post on his official X account, where he
expressed regret over his career choice and affirmed that footballers are living a more luxurious lifestyle.
Speaking via his social media page, he tweeted: “Footballers Dey enjoy oo. Be like I chose the wrong profession. Bruhhhhhhh.”

Davido hails La Liga star, Depay, after gifting him ‘Rolex’
However, after the post found its way online, netizens took to the comment section to suggest that his outburst might have been provoked by his sudden realization of how much football stars like Mbappe, Messi and Ronaldo are worth.
Davido’s tweet comes a day after he hailed Atletico Madrid striker, Memphis Depay for gifting him a multi million naira ‘Rolex’ wristwatch after performing at his 30th birthday party.
Taking to his Instagram page after receiving the gift, the singer said: “N*gga bought me a rolex on his own birthday! I never receive gifts, I’ve always been the one to gift people. “I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay.”
