Ace Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has insisted that there is no conflict between him and his colleague, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid.

The ‘Electricity’ crooner made this known while explaining why he hung out with Wizkid before launching his Timeless album in 2023.

He was reacting to Wizkid’s recent social media rants, where he aimed several digs at Davido and his family.

Speaking in the now trending interview on BBC radio, the singer noted that the 2023 hangout was aimed at showing fans that there was no conflict between them and to ensure that his album was drama-free.

In a video of the interview posted on Instagram by bwetv.ng, Davido narrated how he reached out to one of his key fans, expressing his desire to avoid any fights involving Wizkid’s supporters known as FC.

He said, “I reached out to one of my fans, Tomiwa. The guy that kind of gets to everybody. I called him and I said, look my album is coming out on Thursday. Please leave all these Wizkid fans. Please don’t fight anybody.

“I was with Wizkid a couple of days ago and we were not fighting. Don’t fight anybody because I want my album to come out clean, but Tomiwa started fighting and my album leaked two days before the launch. But these fans are amazing as well, they also have positive sides.”
