Man City traveled to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, in a local derby that was dominated by the visiting team.

The blue half of Manchester came out all guns blazing with the blast of the whistle and were rewarded in the 7th minute when Eric Bailly scored an own goal from a cross from Joao Cancelo.

David De Gea had an inspired afternoon despite how poorly United played, as he  made five top-class saves to prevent City from getting out of sight.

The only moment of mention for United in the first half, came when Cristiano Ronaldo’s volley was saved by City’s keeper, Ederson, who had a very quiet game.

City made their dominance count in the 44th minute, when Bernardo Silva made it 2-0 from another cross from Joao Cancelo, after a mix-up between Luke Shaw and United keeper, David De Gea.

Manchester United brought on Jadon Sancho for Eric Bailly to change formation from five at the back to a more traditional four, but City continued to dominate the game.

David De Gea ensured the match ended 2-0 with a few more saves, City at this point, had taken their feet off the gas, Micheal Oliver ended proceedings after adding 4 extra mins.

Man City go second and two points shy of Chelsea at the top, while United risk going as low as 10th position going into the international break, if Arsenal, Wolverhampton, and Brighton win their games.
