David Alaba’s sister, Rose May, says she can’t marry a footballer

Rose May believes a woman like her who desires to pursue her own aspirations, would find it difficult to cope with a footballer.

Austrian-Nigerian singer and songwriter, Rose May Alaba, has said despite being a sister of a football star, she can’t date or walk down the aisle with someone who plays the round leather game for a living. 

She made this known recently while featuring on Hip TV programme, ‘Trending’, hosted by Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality star,  KimOprah.

According to her, football players are meant to be “catered for.” and a woman like her who desires to pursue her own aspirations, would find it difficult to cope with a footballer.

Rose May, who is a sister to Real Madrid defender, David Alaba, also stated that she enjoys being independent.

Speaking during the interview, she said: “I don’t want to have a soccer player as a boyfriend because you have to cater for them way too much.

“I need my own life, I want to be independent as well.”

Asked if that could be the reason for Shakira and Gerard Piqué’s breakup, Alaba said: “No. I think they broke up because he cheated on her.”
