Dame Nwagba congratulates Akpabio,  Jibrin, Abbas, Kalu, APC leadership on successful inauguration of 10th NASS

All Progressives Congress APC senatorial candidate for Abia South federal constituency in the February polls, Dame Blessing Nwagba PhD has congratulated senate President Godswill Akpabio, Barau Jibrin (Deputy senate President), Hon Tajudeen Abbas (Speaker House of Representatives), Hon Benjamin Kalu (Deputy Speaker), and the national leadership on the conduct of a successful inauguration.

She also urged the lawmakers to shun partisanship and enact laws that would better the lives of Nigerians.

In a statement she personally signed the former state assembly lawmaker  also thanked president Bola Tinubu, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party national chairman  and the South East caucus of the party for providing effective leadership.

The statement read in part ” I, Hon Dame Blessing Nwagba, PhD, APC candidate for Abia South senatorial district, wishes to extend my warm and hearty congratulations to the members of the 10th National Assembly on their successful inauguration.

‘ I wish to specially congratulate His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio,  former governor of Akwa Ibom State and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs on his victorious emergence as the President of the Senate in a keenly contested election which was free, fair, transparent and credible.

” I have no doubt that with your excellent track record as a former governor that you will do well as the President of the Senate.

” I also wish to congratulate Senator Barau Jibrin on emerging unopposed as the Deputy Senate President, having garnered enough experience as a legislator having been in the Senate since 2015.

” I also felicitate  with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas and our own Rep. Benjamin Kalu who was elected as the Deputy Speaker. 

” I have no doubt that with your experiences and capacity, you will make laws that Nigerians will be proud of”

The statement reads further “”My deepest appreciation also goes to the President His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the fatherly role he played in assuring that the proclamation and Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly was devoid of drama and hitches.

” Your Excellency, Sir, so far you have shown capacity in handling the affairs of the nation and have proved that you came prepared.

” I sincerely thank our leaders from the Southeast, especially the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the APC Deputy National Chairman (South) Chief Emma Enekwu and Chief Ikechi Emenike, APC governorship candidate in Abia State in the last election for ensuring that Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu emerged as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

” I urge the leadership and members of both chambers of the National Assembly to shun partisanship and enact laws that will better the lives of Nigerians, especially the youths”
