The final of Season 3, Extra Joss football competition will now come up on Saturday at the Campos Stadium, Ajele, Lagos Island.
The final earlier fixed for Sunday has now been moved to Saturday for logistic reason.
The tournament tagged inter- local government football competition has reached the semi final after the final first of preliminary round was concluded on Sunday at the Legacy pitch with the Lagos Divisional Football Association,LDFA, round of matches.
The round of sixteen kicked – off on Monday at the Campos Stadium with champions of each divisional football associations converged on the sports complex for fight for star prize of One million naira.
The tournament organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development and sponsored by Kalbe International has added values to the growth of grassroot football
Tournament Coordinator, Uthman Ola Okunnu, is optmistic that the future of grassroot football in Lagos State is bright due to beautiful display of soccer artistry in the tournament which has gone through all the Divisional Football Associations, Epe, IKorodu, Badagry,Ikeja and Lagos DFAS.
Ola Okunnu, assured that the organisers would create a database for the players discovered in the ongoing Inter- local government football competition in order to monitor their achievement in their chosen career, adding that the tournament is an eye opener that the country is blessed with abundant football players who need to exposed to the technical depth of football.
