Crystal Palace have terminated the appointment of their manager, Patrick Vieira ahead of the London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The decision came after a dismal run of form for the Eagles in 2023, who failed to win any of their 12 matches since the start of the new year
Viera, who spent only 18 months in charge leaves Selhurst Park, with the Eagles three points above the relegation zone despite sitting 12th in the Premier League log table.

A tweet from the club read: “Crystal Palace Football Club can confirm that Patrick Vieira has left his post as First Team Manager.”
Another statement from club chairman, Steve Parish said the club were grateful to Vieira for his services but it was time to move on.
“It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made.
‘Ultimately, results in recent months have placed us in a precarious league position and we felt a change is necessary to give us the best chance of retaining Premier League status.
“Patrick has given his all to the club, and we all thank him and his team for their service,” Parish said.

However, former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch and former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl are the early frontrunners for the job.
Vieira replaced former England manager Roy Hodgson in July 2021.
In his first season, he guided the team to a 12th-placed finish in the Premier League and the FA Cup semi-final, which they lost to Chelsea.
