Most of the followers of Big Brother Nigeria season 6 “Shine Ya Eye ” edition, will be familiar with the love triangle between three housemates; Saskay, the 21-year-old female housemate, JayPaul, a male housemate from Cross River State, and Cross, another male housemate who resides in Abuja.
There shouldn’t have been competition here, given the fact that Cross is a hunk and a ladies man, while JayPaul is smallish and not as appealing to the ladies as Cross. In fact, majority of the female housemates have confessed that they would want to date Cross if given the opportunity.
Cross, on the other hand , has his eyes focused solely on Saskay, who unlike most of the ladies in the house, does not want to date Cross, despite being attracted to him. She is of the opinion that he is too flirtatious and would have to stop hitting on other ladies in the house if he wants to be considered.
Other obstacles on the way of Cross is that the young and beautiful dark skinned damsel from Adamawa State has a relationship outside the house and has another love interest in the house, JayPaul, who according to her, may not be as good looking as Cross , but knows the way to the heart of a woman.
On Wednesday, while most of the housemates were sitting around the dinning area of the house and the kitchen, Big Brother called JayPaul into the diary room and gave him a flower he purchased with 500 abeg naira .
On getting to the diary room, he went straight to Saskay at the dinning table and presented her with the beautiful flower. Saskay, responded in disbelief and immediately became emotional , while Cross, who saw what happened from the kitchen could not hide his shock with the look on his face. Other housemates, Nini , Jackie B and Angel, made it worse when they screamed and showered Jaypaul with encomium.
Cross who was obviously caught unawares, was further embarrassed when White Money jokingly consoled him, saying he should take heart and that the Lord is his strength. He however, fought back , saying , only those up for eviction have troubles.
His response seems to have suggested that , JayPaul, who is up for eviction, might eventually leave , leaving Saskay to just him. What he failed to realise however , is that Saskay , is also up for eviction and there is a possibility that she could get evicted with JayPaul.
Fans of the show will remember that Saskay , once said she will like to be in the same hotel with JayPaul, if they get evicted and has told Cross she sees JayPaul as a more serious contender for her heart.
She had recently told some of the housemates that she felt her boyfriend outside the house will likely end the relationship. She also said she may not be so disposed to continue the relationship because they have issues unresolved, heightening speculations that she night have picked JayPaul over other contenders.
