Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal and provided an assist, as Manchester United shook off a poor run of results, to beat London side, Tottenham Hotspur 3-0, at the Tottenham Hotspot stadium.
The away side dominated goalmouth actions, while the home side were better in ball possession but failed to register a shot on target throughout the game
United scored the first goal of the match in the 39th minute after Cristiano Ronaldo volleyed a pass from Bruno Fernandes into the back of the net to end the first half 1-0.
The away side kicked off from where they stopped in the second half, as Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, scored United’s second goal in the 64th minute after a through pass from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Tottenham continued to dominate possession but were unable to test United keeper, David De Gea.
The home side were further punished when Nemanja Matic sent a defense splitting pass to Marcus Rashford who made it 3-0 to United after beating Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham were restricted to long-range shots by United. The referee, Stuart Attwell, who issued five yellow cards on the night, eventually signaled the end of proceedings after additional 4 minutes.
