Creatives to gather for Douglas as family releases obsequies

The Douglas family of Okoroba, Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has announced the funeral programme for their own, Oronto Natei Douglas.

The programme states that on Tuesday, April 28 at 5pm, an evening of tributes by the Creative Industry will take place at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

 

The next day at 10am, a Minority/Environmental Day Solidarity Rally hosted by the Ijaw Youth Congress (IYC) in remembrance of Douglas, will take place at the Ijaw House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, while on Thursday, April 30 at 5pm, there will be a night of tributes at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

 

The interment will be at the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Premises, Okoroba by 2.30pm on Saturday, May 1.

 

Born in 1966, Douglas was until his death in the early hours of Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the State House Clinic, Abuja the Special Adviser on Research, Documentation and Strategy to President Goodluck Jonathan.

 

He is survived by his wife, two sons, family and friends.
