The brains behind the second edition of Craig Mind Reading Competition, with the theme, ‘Let Our Children Read’ have said it is to encourage children to read.
Craig Mind International, an education and knowledge-based firm, the organisers, said the core objective is to create educational content that is cerebrally stimulating.
“This we achieve by creating out-of-the-box content and programmes that stretch the intellect through content engagements for TV, media production, trainings and workshop on social life skills and personal development,” a statement from the organiser’s said.
The project, which entries already closed on June 19, is in three categories; the first for children in Primary 4 to Primary 6 (seven to 10 years). The second for children in JSS 1 to JSS3 (11 to 14 years) and the third for those in SS 1 to SS 3 (15 to 19 years).
Organised for the Ikeja/Agege Local Government Area primary and secondary schools and those within the axis, participants in this edition are expected to register for the competition under their school umbrella. Students will read and summarise the books within their categories in 150 words and submit to their teachers on or before June 19.
