President of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo has stated that Covid -19 is the devil’s hypocrisy to weaken the strength of the church.
He made this statement at the evening service to usher in a new year on Thursday, 31, 2020 at Canaanland, while admonishing the church to shun online worship and embrace physical fellowship, saying that fellowship is the security of every believers strength.
Taking his bible reference from Hebrews chapter 12:22, 1John 1:3, and Psalms 84:7, he stated that there is nothing in Covid 19, but the fear that is tormenting the world. “The fear of Covid 19 shut down great nations,” he said.
He gave the examples of multitudes gathering for the National Identity Number and asking if there is no social distance amongst them. Also, he said a governor stated that since the Covid 19 saga, he has only seen seven cases. So where is the Covid 19? He queried.
“They should know that the church has changed levels. And thank God we have prevailed.
“Non of our foreign delegates at Shiloh returned as a Covid 19 cases. They were sound and well sanitised,” he stated.
He however disclosed that Covid 19 is a conspiracy to keep backward nations backwards.
