COVID-19: FG suspends weekly FEC meeting, shuts land borders

In its determination to decisively tackle the coronavirus pandemic, the Federal Government on Monday suspended indefinitely the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting and directed that all land borders should be closed with immediate effect for four weeks. .

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, announced this on Monday evening at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who is the chairman.

The Task Force also said the Council of State meeting earlier scheduled for Thursday, has been suspended.

Mustapha, who addressed the media, accompanied by some other members of the group, said the Head of Civil Service of the Federation would soon issue an advisory to civil servants on way forward henceforth.
