Council Chairman, Deputy die in Ondo

The Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State has been thrown into a sad mood as the Chairman of the council, Mr Bankole Ogbesetore, and his Deputy, Anthony Adebusola died a few days apart.

It was gathered that Ogbesetore who died last week was still being mourned by the people of the area before the news of his Deputy, Adebusola death came again today yesterday, July 17.

A former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye who confirmed the development on his Facebook wall stated that “the late AKURE North council chairman, Mr Bankole Ogbesetore & the late vice Chairman Hon Anthony Adebusola. The vice chairman sent me a condolence letter on Tuesday over the demise of his boss and my close associate praying for his soul.

“On Wednesday, he sent me a message about his I’ll health but we had useful discussions particularly burial arrangements for the late council boss and other matters. The amiable and easygoing deputy joined his boss a few days later. I’m short of words is like a movie. ( RIP.) no doubt I will miss them. God have mercy ooo.”

When TheNiche visited the Itaogbolu town, the Headquarters of the local government, people were seen in groups in a sad mood discussing the demise of the Chairman and his Deputy.

The Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late Chairman last week before the unfortunate loss of the Vice Chairman on Sunday night.
