Coach Debis tasked SWAN to seek credible welfare polices for members

The Special Adviser to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Mr. Shehu Idris, popularly known as Coach Dibis, has condoled with the President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Mr Isaiah Kemje Benjamin over the demise of his father a few days ago.

He expressed his condolence to the SWAN President while having a chat in the presence of some SWAN NEC officials, including the Secretary General Ikenna Okonkwo, Vice President north-west Mansir Muhammad, Bashir Dollars, Busayo.

Coach Dibis showered praises on the new leadership of SWAN under the present administration saying the association now has an exceptional and capable leader with good lieutenants on his side.

He called on the SWAN President to ensure he brings all his visions and expertise that he knows him with while calling on the SWAN excos and members to give the President the much needed support to take SWAN to another realm.

The Special Adviser, urged the SWAN leadership to think outside the box to introduce policies that would help the SWAN members especially after retirement looking at the immense impact SWAN has made to sport development in Nigeria and the world over.

He advised that SWAN should think of introducing entrepreneurship programme and international training and workshops for its members to provide a soft-landing after the tireless services rendered, saying some of the veterans of SWAN today are struggling to survive.

Coach Dibis finally congratulated all athletes, especially Team Kaduna at the 7th edition of the 2023 National Youth Games Asaba, Delta State.

He also expressed his gladnnes over the election petition judgment that dismissed all petition against Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
