General Overseer of The Great Physician Ministries, Deji Akinlade, has urged the government to fight corruption at all levels.
He made the point at the 25th anniversary thanksgiving service of the church in Badagry, Lagos State, wherehe also enjoined Nigerians to support the government in rebuilding the nation.
“There is no doubt that God has blessed this nation tremendously. There has been corruption in Nigeria and for us as Christians; we know it is a cankerworm.
“Corruption should be fought from all angles; political, spiritual and in other sectors. We should not forget that we still have a long way to go as a nation and we are on the pathway to greatness.
“We need to come together and have it in mind that there is no sacred cow in this fight against corruption. It is only this that will bring out the greatness in us,” Akinlade counselled.
He charged church leaders to bring to the consciousness of people the need for a new Nigeria devoid of corruption.
