Cleric commends Ooni for uniting Yoruba monarchs

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), has been commended for his efforts at uniting all Yoruba monarchs since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

The commendation came from Supreme Head of Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence Solomon Adegboyega Alao, when the latter paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni, recently.

Prophet Alao, who commended the Arole of Oduduwa for his humility and reconciliatory effort across the south west, maintained that the ascension of Oba Ogunwusi was divine and meant to bring unity among Yoruba monarchs.

The cleric, who assured the foremost Yoruba monarch of his continue prayers and support during the visit, urged the Ooni to always partner with religious leaders in finding solutions to societal problems.

In his words: “Your humility and efforts to bring sanity and unity among the sons and daughters of Oduduwa is legendary. Since your ascension to the throne of Oduwduwa, your efforts at reuniting all monarchs in the South West geo-political zones in the country is highly commendable. As a church, we shall continue to assist the palace in prayers which will bring unity and orderliness among Yoruba traditional rulers.”

Prophet Alao used the occasion to warn those parading themselves as members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church but are involved in occultic practices to desist from the act, saying that the progenitors of the Church did not preach that at inception.

In his response, Oba Ogunwusi commended Prophet Alao for his visit, while commending the C&S Church for their relentless support to the seat of the Ooni from the inception of the church.

The Ooni assured Prophet Alao of the palace’s continued support for the Church.
