Haaland was once linked with a move to Manchester United but he ended up going to the Etihad Stadium this summer in a deal worth €60 million

Man City striker, Erling Haaland has become the latest player to delve into one of Premier League’s fierce city rivalries, after admitting he is dying to play against arch-enemy, Manchester United.
The 21-year-old Norway international was officially unveiled by Manchester City on Sunday, July 10.
Haaland, who was bought from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €60 million this summer, was one of four new signings shown to the fans, who gathered outside the Etihad Stadium.

During the unveiling, he was asked to name the team he is looking forward to playing against the most in the English Premier League (EPL), and he said, “I don’t want to say the words, but … Manchester United.”
Haaland was linked with a move to the Red half of Manchester at one point in his career, but he ended up in the Blue half of the city.
However, a couple of incidents could have influenced his decision outside the most obvious, which is the power shift from Manchester United to The Citizens.
His father, Alf-Inge, played for City in the early 2000s and he once admitted owning T-shirts of Sergio Aguero, claiming the club’s all-time top goalscorer is a role model for him
