Villareal and Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has been nominated for La Liga Player of the Month for March following his impressive performance for his club.
The Yellow Submarine have picked seven points from three La Liga matches in the month under review and the 23-year-old assisted three of the six goals scored by the club during the period.
Chukwueze is not the only La Liga player being considered for the monthly prize, six other players from other clubs are also in contention for the award.

Those equally picked for the award are Atletico Madrid’s Antione Griezmann, Real Sociedad’s
David Silva, Barclona’s Raphinha, Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas and Real Betis’ Borja Iglesias.
Meanwhile, Premier League outfit, Aston Villa are said to be “keen” on signing Chukwueze who may be available for around £15 million this summer, according to Spanish outlet AS.
Everton are also reported to be interested in the Nigerian international who took his tally to 11 goals and 11 assists during his side’s 3-0 win at Osasuna at the weekend, in a season that is rapidly becoming the best and most consistent campaign of his young career.
Had the Villareal forward been committed to a long-term deal at the Estadio de la Ceramica, his current club would almost certainly demand a substantial sum for a player in the form of his life, says HITC, “perhaps one in line with his £80 million release clause.”
However, with his contract expiring in 2024, Villarreal are facing up to the prospect of losing one of Spanish football’s most electrifying attackers for a knock-down fee this summer.
