The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has pleaded with Nigerians to embrace God and seek his mercy for solution to the country’s challenges.
Secondus, who gave the advice in a statement by his SA Media, Ike Abonyi, lamented that Nigerians had
fallen short before God, stressing that Christmas provided the opportunity to return to him in deep supplications.
Secondus also pointed out that the birth of the messiah (Jesus Christ), which is celebrated during the Christmas, opens the window for citizens to commune with God for restitution of the nation’s lost glory.
“The reason for this season, which is the coming into this world of the messiah entails that we try to clean up ourselves to meet him because his birth at Christmas brought hope to humanity,” he said.
Though the challenges at the moment appear enormous, Secondus urged Nigerians not to despair but to use the period to meet Jesus with the magic wand for an answer.
“In a Yuletide like Christmas we are provided the ample opportunity to seek and meet the messiah with our needs and desires,” he said.
According to him, the stage Nigeria and indeed the global community were at the moment, required only deep supplications, stressing that the worrisome state of the nation could only be averted if the leaders govern in the fear of God.
Besides, the national chairman of the main opposition party in Nigeria, on behalf of the members and leaders of PDP across the country and in the Diaspora, wished all Nigerians joyful Christmas celebrations.
