Child custody saga: Sophia Momodu tells court her Banana Island annual rent is N27m, accuses Davido of abandonment

Sophia Momodu, first baby mama of music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has revealed the gross annual rent of her Banana Island mansion to be N27 million.

Sophia made the disclosure in a high-stakes battle with Davido over the custody of their daughter, Imade.

Davido is asking for joint custody on a case he filed in court. Sophia opposed the request.

Sophia, in a counter affidavit in court accused Davido of abandonment. She said the music star left the rent which accommodates their daughter for her alone to bear.

Sophia alleged that Davido used their daughter Imade as a pawn to maintain a sexual relationship with her. She alleged that he would withdraw fatherly duties and financial support whenever she attempted to end their sexual relationship.

Sophia also accused Davido of being an “absentee father” who prioritises his career and wild lifestyle over his daughter’s well-being. She cited instances of alleged abandonment, including a two-year period where he reportedly had no contact with Imade.
