Chicken Republic serves rice without chicken for N500, Nigerians blame Buhari

In what appears like a move to offer Nigerians quality meal that is still affordable, Chicken Republic announced the N500 plate of rice and egg.

A fast-food restaurant, Chicken Republic, has introduced rice and egg as part of its menu, a move that many say was informed by the economic realities of the time.

Hyperinflation has been eroding the purchasing power of many Nigerians in a manner that is affecting the quality of living, especially the kind of food they eat.

In what appears like a move to offer Nigerians quality meal that is still affordable, Chicken Republic announced the N500 plate of rice and egg.

On Twitter, the rice and egg menu has triggered a buzz, with many Nigerians poking at the irony of Chicken Republic serving rice without chicken. Others think chicken is still on the menu since egg comes from it.
